In this 4 week course, you will be creating your own pages of a Embroidered Fabric Book with embroidery, crazy patchwork with embroidery, 3D embroidery including picot stitch, appliqué and shish mirrors, to make into your own unique sample book. You will use vintage linens and cotton sheets to make pages for your book, which will display all the techniques you learn. Further more you will learn how to enhance your patchwork with a range of beautiful embroidery stitches.
Hand embroidery is a traditional technique, which has relaxing and contemplative qualities. It is a perfect way to spend a morning learning and revisiting the art of hand embroidery. In addition, the embroidery detail will expand your designs. So you will have beautiful samples to keep.
The embroidery stitches you will be using to make your Embroidered Fabric Book include: blanket, chain, picot, herringbone, fly, fern, pekinese, sorbello ,backstitch, hand half chevron.

All the light refreshments and materials are included you will be sent a parking permit to use the Markeaton Craft Village Car Park free for the the times and dates of the session – the kettle goes on at 9.55.
